We aren’t just a one trick pony. We strive for unique
meets that encompass both fursuiting and non fursuiting events- as well as virtual community!See collections of past meet photos, virtual events, and future meet plans here!

Our History

Started by DudeWithGames (Kibo), the South Dakota furs were far and few between. With help from Pupcrn, Neko_Adderstein, and KalTheDemonOtter, the South Dakota Furs Telegram was born.Pre-Covid, one park meet was had at Falls Park, then radio silence.Post Covid, the first “official” meet was had- a bowling meet in Sioux Falls in early 2022. At this meet, it was decided by SnaggleToofy and Schmiggot that more meets need to be had. This community needed to be brought together and needs to thrive.SnaggleToofy and Schmiggot worked hand in hand, each planning every other meet- and with every meet came more furries out of the woodwork! The community was born.South Dakota Furs (SD Furs for short) now participates yearly in the Sioux Falls and Rapid City Pride parades, collaborates with other local scenes, and has a thriving community of closely-knit furries on both sides of the state!You will see West River and East River mentioned a lot! West River is Rapid City/Black Hills, and East River is Sioux Falls/Canton area. Once a year in the spring we have our yearly picnic in Sioux Falls where both sides come together! Until then, we host meets monthly (if not more), so check out our events calendar!We’re always growing, expanding, and building the community brick by brick to foster a welcoming, accepting, and homey sanctuary.

All Meets on East Side are in Central time, and all West Side meets are in Mountain time!

🏳️‍🌈SIOUX FALLS PRIDE 🏳️‍⚧️Welcome back to Sioux Falls pride 💕 We once again will be participating in the downtown parade and festival afterwards!Time/date:• Parade/festival: 8:45AM June 13th at the parade staging area. (NEAR DOWNTOWN USPS) Parade starts at 9:45am, don’t be late!• Once the parade finishes, the Pride festival takes place at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls!

We will have a trailer float as well as lots of room to walk besides it if you wish!

SD Furs Code of Conduct

These are the rules of meets as well as our online spaces. Follow them accordingly.

  1. Age Limitations - Our Discord is 13+, while our Telegram (SFW and not) is strictly 18+.

  2. Respectful Communication - All members are expected to engage in respectful and considerate communication. Insults, harassment, or any form of derogatory language will not be tolerated.

  3. No Discrimination - Discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or any other personal characteristic is strictly prohibited.

  4. No Illegal Content - Sharing or promoting illegal content is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, pirated software, illegal substances, or harmful activities.

  5. Respect Privacy - Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information of others without their explicit permission.

  6. No Harassment, Stalking, or Threatening - This includes threats of violence, doxxing, or any other various types of harassment. This is a zero-tolerance policy. Members who violate this will be removed from all official SD Furs chat rooms and events.

  7. Limit Self Promotion - Self promotion in official SD Furs chats or at events is limited to one time per week. This type of content includes commission openings, fundraisers, GoFundMe’s, or personal streaming links

  8. No Sensitive Materials - Members shall not mention any material deemed as “sensitive.” This material includes gore, latex, diapers, or any other material deemed “taboo” that could make members uncomfortable. Material that does not directly violate the rule but could still be deemed potentially triggering must have a spoiler over it with clear indication of what is under the spoiler.

  9. Keep Political Discussion in Good Faith - Current events may be discussed. Keep discussions in good faith and productive. Any discussion that violates Rule 2 will not be tolerated, and the offending member will be removed from future events and all official SD Furs chat rooms.

  10. No Generative AI- No generative AI will be tolerated in any SD Furs online chat rooms. This includes reposting AI “art” or promoting the use of generative AI. Generative AI or artwork forwarded from other channels without proper artist credit will be deleted from the chat rooms.

  11. No Spamming - Spamming of stickers, photos, or text is not allowed in our chat rooms.

  12. Follow the Rules - All members are expected to abide by the rules and guidelines set forth in this Code of Conduct, as well as any additional rules specific to the chat rooms. Failure to do so shall result in a permanent removal from all SD Furs related chats and activities.

  13. Report Violations - If you witness or experience any violations of this Code of Conduct, please report them to an administrator or moderator immediately.
